Marissa brings a unique blend of professional expertise and personal passion to her psychotherapy practice. Prior to becoming a full time therapist, Marissa spent several years as a pediatric and adult medical social worker within one of NYC’s premier hospital systems. Her professional background supporting individuals across the lifespan through chronic medical conditions, life transitions, and experiences of trauma and loss has deeply enriched her understanding of the human experience.

Inspired by her experiences as a medical social worker, Marissa has dedicated her practice to guiding individuals of all ages through life’s challenges and pivotal moments. Marissa couples her professional expertise with her passion for attachment and relationships, bringing a humanistic approach to her therapeutic work. She believes that understanding the intricacies of human connection is fundamental to fostering emotional well-being and personal fulfillment. With Marissa, you’ll find a compassionate guide who is committed to helping you navigate life’s twists and turns and empowering you to live authentically.

Marissa is trained in EMDR and practices through an attachment-focused and psychodynamic lens. Her goal is to empower her clients with the tools and insights they need to navigate life’s complexities with confidence and resilience.
