I'M NEW TO THERAPY. WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Making the choice to start therapy can feel overwhelming, but it’s a positive step towards personal growth and well-being. We recommend starting with a free 15 minute consultation call, so that you are able to get a sense if we’re a good fit.
Therapy sessions are a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly discuss your thoughts and feelings. Your first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know you. We’ll ask you about your background, reasons for seeking therapy, and any specific concerns you have. This is also your chance to ask questions and understand the therapy process.
Together, we will work to identify goals for your therapy. These can be specific issues you want to address or broader personal growth objectives. Depending on your needs, we might use different therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or mindfulness practices. As therapy progresses, we will check in to review your goals and progress, and make any adjustments to ensure you are getting the most out of your sessions.

We offer our free consultation call so that you can speak with us to discuss your needs and goals, and get a sense of our style and approach. We offer both virtual and in-person sessions to best accommodate your needs and preferences. Whether you’re located in New York, Florida, Illinois, or Massachusetts, we are happy to provide virtual sessions to ensure flexibility and accessibility. For those who prefer to meet in person, we also have an office located in Boca Raton, FL.
Our goal is to make therapy accessible and convenient, so you can choose the setting that feels most comfortable and supportive for you. We believe in providing a personalized approach, and we’re here to help you navigate the format that works best for your lifestyle.
HOW FREQUENTLY WILL WE MEET FOR SESSIONS?
Therapy typically involves regular sessions, often weekly, especially at the beginning. Consistency helps build a strong therapeutic relationship and fosters progress.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
We are in-network with Medicare Part B. For all other insurance policies, we are considered out-of-network. Our rate for out-of-network individual therapy is $225 per session. Please see details for out-of-network reimbursements below.
